We value your right to privacy. Any information that you provide to Rainforest-Help.com will be treated with the utmost respect, and held securely. We will not pass any information collected from you on to any other individuals or organisations.
What information do we collect?
We do not store information about your location or age, and we do not ask for or hold any financial details beyond the amount of your donation and the currency you are choosing to donate in. We do not use cookies to store data on your machine. We do not knowingly target minors, and as we do not store age data there is not way for us to differentiate minors from other donors. We encourage parents and guardians to take an active role in their children’s online activities and interests.
We do store the names and email addresses of donors, and we do contact donors with information about the appeal and their donation. You may chose to opt out of these communications by simply following the removal link which can be found at the end of any email from Rainforest-Help.com
How do we use this information?
We hold information about donors primarily in order to keep track of the Appeal’s progress, but also to ensure that anyone opting out of receiving communications from Rainforest-Help.com is not contacted again.
Our Invitation System:
If you use our referral service to inform a friend about our appeal, we will ask you for the friend's name and email address. Rainforest-Help.com will automatically send the friend an email informing them about the Appeal and inviting them to visit the site. Rainforest-Help.com uses this personal information for the sole purpose of sending this email and tracking the success of our Appeal referral program. The friend may opt out of further communications from us by simply following the removal link at the end of the email.

You may wish to examine Paypal’s own Privacy Statement, which can be read here. The payment pages provided by Paypal are secure to ensure your privacy and the safety of your transaction. Rainforest-Help.com does not have access to your financial details, this is handled on our behalf by Paypal.
